It's none other than Suresh Raina, a man who does not need any introduction to any indian.

Recently he announced his retirement from all forms of cricket he is playing. So let us once have a pep read about him and his outstanding career today as he is ending his brilliant and famous career, as we have no more chance to watch him on the cricket field anymore.

Who is Raina?

  • Suresh Raina is a 35-year-old Indian Cricket player.

  • He was born on 27th of November, 1986.

  • He is from Uttarpradesh, India.

  • He is known for his Right-arm off-spin bowling.

  • Also he Is a Left-handed Batsman. He is known for his middle order play.

  • His love and passion for cooking is well known to all of his fans.

  • He is lively on his all social media platforms.

  • He is called as "Mr. IPL".

  • He is popularly known as "Chinna Thala". He is gifted this tittle by his fans with love.

  • His First Indian cricket debut is dated on 30th July 2005 with a T20 match.

  • He rose to fame with his U-16 cricket matches he played in Uttar Pradesh at the age of 16.

  • At the same age, he made his Ranji Trophy debut in 2003 for team Uttar Pradesh against Assam.

  • Raina is the first player to score 5000 runs in an IPL match.

  • He plays for CSK (Chennai super kings) team in IPL matches and never missed a single match until the year 2020, where he had to withdraw from the match due to his personal family reasons.

  • He is the first player to score 8000 runs in a T20 match for Team India.

  • He holds the record for highest number of catches, that is 107 catches in IPL till date.

  • He holds another record for the highest number of runs scored in the IPL's power play till date.

  • Raina is the only Indian player who scored centuries in all three formats of cricket game (Test match, ODI, T20 match).

  • In his first U-19 debut, he was awarded a Border Gavaskar scholarship to train in Australian Cricket academy in the year of 2005.

  • He is the first Indian batsman, and second cricket player after Chris Gayle to hit 100 sixes in the IPL.

  • He is known to be the best and consistent player in IPL cricket matches for his play.

  • He served as a captain for an IPL team Gujarat lions for two years.

Raina and his glory

  • He received an Honorary Doctorate from Vels University, Chennai on 5th August 2022.

  • He announced his retirement from all International cricket forms on 15th August 2020 following M.S Dhoni on the same day, same hour.

  • Later, he announced his retirement from the only remaining cricket forms- IPL and domestic cricket on 6th September 2022.

It is hard to believe that a brilliant player's era in the indian cricket team has come to an end.

It is no surprise to tell that Raina has inspired many number of people with his consistency and brilliance in cricket play.

Though it is sad to see him retire at an early age, he would always be cherished by Indian Cricket lovers, fans and team for his excellency throughout his cricket career.
