The Eiffel Tower:- More than Just a Pretty Face
The Eiffel Tower is an enormous showpiece of the World's Fair. It is a beautiful structure built in 1889 as an antenna and weather station. Today, the Eiffel Tower stands 324 meters (1,063 feet) tall with an observance deck. It extends over 300 meters (1,000 feet) above ground level.
History of Eiffel Tower:-
In the 1800s, we considered Paris as the cultural place of Europe. A rival took place to design and build the world's tallest building. The winner was French civil engineer Gustave Eiffel. He proposed building a wrought iron tower. It would be 984 feet high. It has two platforms extending out from the structure's base at different heights.
One platform would be just under 300 feet in height. It also has an area for expo purposes. The other are observance deck at just over 800 feet high. This way, visitors could go through views of both city and countryside from either level. It took two years to construct this unique structure. It started in 1889. By now, around six million people visited by the first year.
The proposed Eiffel Tower also stirred up argument among Parisians. It left as unwelcome intruder on their well-earned prospect of the city. Others worried about the effects of the Eiffel Tower.
It would have on air quality due to its colossal use of coal fires. Many found it astounding, labelling it the most beautiful thing in the world.
Starting in 1962, pieces began to fall off due to the aging process. The new paint has not applied for 25 years.
Earlier, we built the tower to remember the 100th observance. It also leads to a serve as an entry point. Many of them showed interest in seeing the 1889 World's Fair. It remembers the French riot. Today, it stands at 324 meters tall and is one of Paris's most iconic structures. The archetype design of the tower allowed visitors to enter at ground level. And the visitors take an hoist to the first level. Due to its approval, Gustave Eiffel had hoists installed on each leg. The visitors could go straight up instead of taking stairs. The tower has two restaurants. One is present inside (one in each leg) called Le Jules Verne. The other is La Tour Eiffel with both offering unlikely views from their respective heights.
